Thomas Strong, MD
Maternal-Fetal Medicine Specialist
Dr. Thomas H. Strong, Jr. was raised in Butte, Montana. He is a third-generation doctor; his maternal grandmother, mother and daughter are all nurses. Dr. Strong went to undergraduate and medical school at the University of Utah. He did his OB/GYN residency at a UCSF facility in Fresno, California and his Maternal-Fetal Medicine fellowship at LA County-USC Women’s Hospital in Los Angeles.
He has published over 60 peer-reviewed articles, abstracts and textbook chapters. Indeed, through the years, his work has been cited in all the major American obstetric textbooks. His book, “Expecting Trouble,“ was published by New York University press in 2000 and was nominated for Book of the Year. He is also co-editor of the “Obstetric Intensive Care Manual,“ now in its fifth edition, through McGraw-Hill.
He has two children: Trey is a sophomore in high school and is an amazing golfer; Rebekah just received her doctorate as a nurse practitioner and is a new mother. Her daughter, Vivian, is Dr. Strong’s first grandchild.
