Valley Perinatal Services Response to COVID-19
Despite the COVID-19 pandemic our focus has been, and will continue to be, the health and welfare of our patients. We are constantly collaborating with other healthcare professionals to better understand, and reduce, the impact of this global pandemic. As we continue to combat the coronavirus, our practice will be reducing in-office services when possible and will be offering telemedicine for professional services to reduce the risk of exposure.
Telemedicine Services We Offer
- Genetic Counseling
- Nutrition Counseling
- Consultations
- Diabetic Management Counseling
We will provide consults and visits with patients via tele-medicine through a HIPAA compliant application, such as Cisco WebEx, for any patient communications. If patients do not have access to Cisco WebEx or any other HIPAA compliant application, then telephonic communication may be utilized at the discretion of the provider through the company’s trackable audible system 3CX.

What is VPS doing to protect your patients?
We are here to serve the needs of all our patients and our referring providers however, the safety and wellness of our patients and staff will remain our biggest priority. To protect your patients VPS has developed several processes that will reduce the exposure to COVID-19:
- VPS will conduct a pre-appointment questionnaire prior to your patients appointment date. The goal is to identify any “at-risk” patients before they arrive at the clinics.
- The questionnaire will collect information to determine if any of the following symptoms exist:
- Fever
- Cough
- Myalgia or fatigue
- Shortness of breath
- Sore throat
- Headache
- Productive cough
- Hemoptysis (coughing up blood)
- Nausea
- Diarrhea
- If your patient is found to have any of the above mentioned symptoms VPS will suggest your patient to self-isolate and follow-up with their Primary Care Physician. Once your patient’s has been deemed non-contagious they may schedule another appointment with us.
- VPS has increased sanitation protocols to ensure all surfaces, seating, electronic devices (tablets), and ultrasounds rooms are properly disinfected after every patient encounter.
- VPS has partnered with Cintas to conduct a daily thorough sanitation of all of our office spaces.
- VPS is providing constant updates regarding COVID-19 and other relevant developments though our social media platforms. Follow us on Twitter, Instagram, and Facebook, for up-to-date information.
- VPS is restricting movement within the operating clinics to ultrasound and certain procedural appointments. At this time guest(s) will not be allowed to accompany patients into their appointments. Guest must remain outside the clinic or remain in their vehicles.
- VPS is reducing in-office services and will be offering telemedicine for professional services with Providers.
- VPS is utilizing PPE such as gowns, gloves, and mask for normal care of patients.
