Traveling to the Valley

For Perinatal Care

At Valley Perinatal we know it can be a scary decision to temporarily relocate during your pregnancy journey to achieve the best outcome possible for you and your babies. Whether you are traveling cities or states away we want you to feel comfortable and supported during your pregnancy and post-partum until your newly expanded family makes the journey back home.

With seven locations throughout the valley, wherever you decide to temporarily reside will not be far from a clinic where our staff is ready to provide the best care possible. Centrally located and just minutes away from the airport, St. Joseph’s Medical Center is in the heart of downtown. It’s close to many major highways making it an easily accessibly delivering facility when it’s time for your babies to arrive. St. Joseph’s Medical Center is been a delivering partner with Valley Perinatal for years and is well equipped to handle the delivery of high order multiples and the care each infant will need after delivery.

The Valley of the Sun has many support groups throughout the valley for expectant mothers and specifically those who are expecting quadruplets and quintuplets. It’s a unique journey and those who have gone through it can share some very encouraging and resourceful suggestions for both during and after pregnancy. Throughout the years, Valley Perinatal has been gifted equipment such as basinets, cradles and rocking chairs to help provide care for the newborns prior to returning home.

Our Grand Canyon State has much to offer during your stay with historic towns and landmarks scattered nearby, there is always something to do between office visits such as taking a car ride through Bearizona in the lush and beautiful city of Flagstaff. Of course, during the hotter months there is never a lack of swimming opportunities whether it be a local community pool, splash pad or lounging in the wave pool at numerous water parks. It’s always a refreshing break from the sun and from your feet when you have multiple babies that you are nourishing daily in the womb.

We encourage you to call us at (480) 756-6000 before finalizing your decision to relocate so that we can help determine the best possible timeline and appropriate plan of care during your pregnancy. Working with your insurance, our physicians and the delivering hospital are key points of contact during this journey to help it progress as smoothly as possible and make it easier when arranging to return home.
