Pelvic Ultrasound
Pelvic Ultrasound

The pelvic ultrasound uses sound waves to produce pictures of structures and organs in the lower abdomen and pelvis. There are two types of pelvic ultrasounds for women, which include abdominal and vaginal. Pelvic ultrasounds are given to analyze the female reproductive and urinary tracts. The ultrasound image is captured in real-time, and can show the structure and movement of the inside of the body.

This type of imaging is painless and does not require any special preparation. We do not use ionizing radiation and there are no known harmful effects. The procedure is used to evaluate uterus, cervix, ovaries, fallopian tubes, bladder, or fetal development.

3D/4D Pelvic Ultrasound
3D/4D Pelvic Ultrasound

3D and 4D pelvic ultrasounds provide a detailed visualization of the entire pelvic floor and can provide detailed images of the inside of the body. Using this imaging provides the convenience of one test, which allows us to provide results much quicker.

Hysterosonography
Hysterosonography

Hysterosonography, also known as saline infusion sonogram, is a technique used to slowly infuse sterile saline into the uterine cavity during ultrasound imaging. This technique is noninvasive and allows us to assess abnormalities with the lining of the uterus.

Pelvic Doppler
Pelvic Doppler

The doppler allows us to evaluate the blood through the arteries and veins within the abdomen. By scanning the blood flow, we can diagnose obstructions in the arteries that could cause problems.

Ovarian Cancer Screening
Ovarian Cancer Screening

Ovarian cancer screening is recommended for women at risk, as well as women who may have a gene mutation that increases their chances of this cancer. This group includes women with a history of breast cancer, infertility, endometriosis, or hormone replacement. Imaging methods, such as a transvaginal ultrasound, have been evaluated to use in screening for cancer and have been found to be the most effective.
